Happy Birthday...Everyone!

Since Jessica missed her birthday dinner (I guess having my niece is a good excuse), and Ryan missed his, well because Caroline's kinda took center stage. Craig, well, he is always out of town for his birthday for a wrestling tournament. We decided to celebrate their birthdays with Dad's. We ordered pizza and had an ice cream cake with all of their names on it.

Pretty Princess

Since Caroline's plans didn't pan out today (see below), she instead played "pretty princess" by wearing her tutu and tiara. I am so in trouble! :)

Caroline's Plan for Today

So I just got Caroline out of bed. Here was our first conversation of the morning:
C: Church!
Me: No, we go to church tomorrow.
C: Beach!
Me: No, we went to the Beach yesterday.
C: Kings Island!
Me: No, we will go there in a few days.
C: Where's Daddy?

I am guessing she was going to try and get him to take her to one of those places today! :)

Soccer Season

Drew will be playing soccer for the first time this fall. Tonight we had his first soccer practice. Can't wait to see how he does as a Golden Lion this year!!!

Caroline enjoyed watching Drew--she was so ready to get out there!

A Zoo-Tastic Day!

Today we learned about Wetland Wonders at the zoo. Maddie and Brandi invited us to join them for another fun class. It was great to see some of our other familiar faces--Jacob and Lucas and Hannah. We got to see alligators, crocodiles, and the manatees. There were a few other wetland animals we stopped by to visit-but these guys were the most exciting!!

We got to see a turtle, but couldn't touch it because of Department of Wildlife rules!

Drew did bravely pet the alligator!

From Beach to Boots

So with great sadness, vacation had to end. We got up early Saturday morning and drove straight back with three potty breaks. The kids were so excited to be back home! Drew went straight out to play with his friends and Caroline headed straight for the toys. During all of the unpacking, laundry and going through the mail, I discovered that Drew had put on his rainboots to go out and play and Caroline came in the kitchen to show off her snowboots. I guess they have had enough of the bathing suits and Crocs!
