This Little Girl...

is something else! And I thought Drew was rotten! Caroline is such a drama queen that keeps us laughing! She loves to throw her head down, cross her arms, and walk away from me. If we are outside, she goes to a tree and sulks against it. We just laugh and then she stops the drama and laughs too! She has now started "No" for everything (even if a "yes/no" is not required) and likes to hear herself say "Um, um, um". She now says "Tiss" for "kiss" and loves to hug Drew! What joy she brings to our family!

My Boy

I just love this kid! I can't believe he is four years old. Time really does fly and we are loving every minute of it! He is so curious, creative, and loving. He has a heart of gold and I couldn't be prouder!

He Does Listen!!!

Today at church there was a cross laying at the front of the sancutary. Drew asked my dad what the cross was for. Dad told him it was where they put Jesus. And Drew responded, "Mrs. S told us that they put a rock in front of it so no one would get Jesus." He actually listened to the Easter story at school and remembered it!!! Mommy was proud!

Caroline loves to wear sunglasses--so we figured it was time to get her her own pair. And Drew just wanted new ones too!

She is absolutely beautiful. I am so excited be an aunt and for my kids to have their first cousin here! I am most excited for Jessica and Ryan to experience all of the joy and happiness of being a parent!!!

We took the kids down to the hospital last night. Caroline just wanted to touch her face. Drew was excited to hold her several times! He has not been able to stop talking about Karli. He fell in love! This morning the first words out of his mouth were, "I just want to go see Aunt Jess and her baby. And I want them to come to our house and I want Karli to play with Caroline's toys. And she is going to like my trains too." He has big plans for the cousins!!!

EEEK!

I just have to share my excitement!! My brother and his wife are at the hospital about to have their first baby! I am going to be an aunt soon!! They don't know what they are having so the anticipation is even greater!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

My Son...the Ellen Imitator

So I gave the kids an afternoon bath because they were covered in mud from our adventures outside. After the bath we were in the hallway drying and dressing. I put Caroline down to put her diaper on and Drew started to straddle her. I told him not to do that, it wasn't nice. His response was, "Mommy, Ellen does that. She does it to a table." He has a point...

(For those that don't watch The Ellen Show, Ellen Degeneres dances with her audience at the beginning of her show. She often ends it by dancing over the length of her coffee table before sitting down.)

Button Pusher

This afternoon I was doing some cleaning. As I rolled the sweeper into the living room, Drew (my shadow) followed me asking over and over and over if he could push the button to turn it on. "Is it time Mommy?" "Are you ready Mommy?" "I can do it Mommy." "I know where the button is Mommy." And then finally..."I am just good at pushing buttons Mommy." All I could think was, "Yes dear son, you sure do know how to push buttons. Mommy's buttons, Caroline's buttons..."
