Momma's Boy

Drew is so my boy! Tonight my dad and brother asked him to go to the UC basketball game with them since Craig is out of town. He didn't want to. On our way home from my parents' house I asked him why he didn't want to go. His sweet response, "What would I do without you Mommy?" I will take a Momma's boy anyday!!!

I am so lucky...

for many reasons, but here are two:

#1: My wonderful son that loves to help everyone...and
#2: The relationship my son and dad have. It is what I have always dreamed of!

Happy Halloween 2010

The "Pretty Princess" (as she told everyone)

My Hero--The Fireman A great night with family and friends! I love our neighborhood!

Amen!

Today during the closing benediction at church, the minister said something along the lines of "Thank you Lord for you constant presence in our daily lives..." Caroline heard the word "presence" and popped up for her lounging position yelling, "Presents, I like presents!" So glad we sit in the same place every week and everyone around us does too!

Caroline...

Oh sweet Caroline. While putting shoes on to go get Drew at school:

Me: "Right shoe, right foot"
Care: "Where my wrong shoe?" (two hands in air, shaking her head)

The Last Game

Today ends Drew's first soccer season. It was a great experience for Drew (and us!). He showed so much improvement from the start of the season. After the first couple of games not scoring, he scored at least once in the rest of the games. He had a great time and that is what is most important to us!

End of the Soccer Season

Before the last game, the coaches had donuts, fruit kabobs, and juice for the team and families. The kids then received their trophies. Drew was awarded the "Most Aggressive" award. Is that good or bad?!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we headed to the pumpkin patch and met up with the Aliagas. It was so fun to walk around the corn maze and let the kids run wild on a beautiful fall day!

"Uuuuhhhh, I want this one!"

Daddy's Little Helper

Drew LOVES to help outside. Today he and Craig picked up the branches and made nice piles of firewood. Drew loves being able to have jobs with Daddy!

KI in the Fall

What a gorgeous Sunday! We took the kids to Kings Island after we left church today. It was crowded but such a nice day to be outside (not raking leaves). The kids had fun (of course) doing something a little different than our usual trip!

Caroline showing her attitude. She would not look at the camera.

Drew is going to be a fireman for Halloween. So he loved seeing the truck and getting to wear the helmet!

What's one thing that can make little ones feel better?

PLAY-DOH! The kids have both had the icky fall cold that's going around. So, in an effort to not infect all of the neighborhood kids, I kept them locked up. We got out ALL of the Play-Doh to keep us entertained. They were very excited to see all of the neat things I had kept hidden :)

The Leaning Tower of...

Caroline's! After we dropped Drew off at school, Caroline cried all the way home, "Where's Drew-Drew?" Once we got home, she realized she had full access to all the toys without taking orders from her big brother. She was very proud of the tall tower she made all by herself!

A New School Year

Drew is in the four year olds class at preschool this year. He goes three afternoons a week. He has been so excited to meet and work with his new teachers, see his new classroom and to make new friends! It is so nice to have a little one so enthusiastic about school. Let's hope it continues!

His future's so bright...

Drew had to wear his sunglasses to keep his eyes from watering during today's soccer game!

Today's Drew-ism

Drew just came to the back door looking distraught. I asked home what was wrong.
Drew: "Mommy, (huff) Maddie and Zeke are digging underground."
Me: "What is wrong with that?!"
Drew: "They are digging to China."
Me: "Ok?"
Drew: "Mommy, China isn't underground, pipes are underground."

Kings Island Visit #...I've lost track!

Today I took the kids up to Kings Island after school. I love watching them laugh, giggle, and light up on each ride.

Caroline enjoyed bumping Drew on the bumper cars!

And of course we ended our day with blue ice cream!
