Happy Halloween 2009

We had a great time this year celebrating Halloween! As mentioned, Drew was a "worker man" and Caroline was a cheerleader (just like her mommy!) :) We had fun going door-to-door with the Aliagas!

Fall Leaves

Now that most of the leaves have fallen, the kids love to run through them, throw them in the air, and jump in them! We had fun crunching through the leaves!

Drew's Preschool Party

Today, Drew had a party at his preschool. He got to wear his costume to school. He is a "worker man". A few weeks ago he was telling everyone he was going to be a "astruction worker". Sadly, he wouldn't wear his hardhat for the pictures. We will try again on Halloween. They sang some songs for us and each told us what they were dressed up as. It was cute to see Drew in a school setting.

Pumpkin Decorating with Daddy

Drew's preschool had pumpkin decorating (not carving) with Daddy. Drew and Craig had a fun time making a unique creation with marshmallows, candy corn, Twizzler, golf tees, and yarn. Thank you to our wonderful neighbor for sending a camera with her husband! :)

A Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Mommy took the day off to take Caroline to the doctor for her 15 month appointment and then we went to Shaw's Farm. This year, Nuc and Gigi went with us!

Drew even got his first candy apple! :)

Caroline Ann

We went to Caroline's 15 month pediatrician appointment. Little Care-Bear is just that---little! She weighs 19 pounds 1 ounce and 31 inches tall. She is very healthy and gets to continue sitting backwards in the car :)

**Ok-to explain the picture--the axle of one of Drew's trucks comes off. Caroline thinks she is totally funny putting it in her mouth and walking around like nothing is unusual.

Fall Fun Has Just Begun!

After going from late summer weather down into the 40s last week, we look to be rebounding back up! We spent a little time outside today getting some fresh air-hoping to get rid of the icky cold that the kids have given to each other. It is looking like the early part of this week is going to be nice, so hopefully we will get out more!

A Girl's Work is Never Done

Caroline loves to play with toys that she usually can't put her hands on. Drew and Caroline are on opposite nap schedules. Drew naps when we get home at 1 and sleeps until about 3 and Caroline goes down at 3 until about 5. Well, she loves to play with everything that she can during Drew's nap!

She finds herself quite funny!

Drew-isms

When Drew was a baby, I always found myself saying, "Gosh I love this age, I don't want him to get older." But with each new month he reached new milestones and I loved each new stage in his life. (I feel the same for Care-Bear too-don't worry!). Now that he is 3 1/2 and talking all of the time, I love to hear all of his thoughts and trying to figure out just what he is saying. So often, Mommy is the only one who can really speak their kids' language! :) Here are some of Drew's cute words/phrases:
"Nuc"=Uncle (as in Uncle Ryan)
"Hepo-Hepo"=Home Depot
"noga bar"=granola bar
"Hondonalds"=McDonald's
"honchos"=nachos
"washcwof"=washcloth (because a cold washcloth makes everything feel better)
"P Jelly"=peanut butter and jelly (often sounds like P. Diddy)
and of course...
"Caromine"=Caroline

Howl-O-Fest!

On Saturday Craig and I decided to take Drew to Kings Island for the first time (Caroline stayed with/was spoiled by Giggi and Papa). He had a blast!! It was so fun to see the excitement that I remember having as a kid! The big hits were "The Scooby Ride" (ridden twice), the bumper cars (tried three times) and the "Little Bill" (roller coaster-ridden twice with Daddy). We had a great afternoon! And Drew was asleep within 5 minutes of getting in the car!

Not a whole lot of bumping-he tried really hard--but spent a lot of time in the same little spot :)

Every ride included a big smile!
